基于千兆以太网的FPGA双向数据传输系统设计

【摘要】:以太网技术的发展日新月异,许多工业及民品设备也都有了联网的需求,而且高速的视频传输更引发了千兆以太网的大量普及。FPGA芯片工艺的进步为嵌入式系统注入了更庞大的活力,单片系统支持的功能越来越丰富,IP库内容的完善为设计人员提供了良好可靠的通用模块,极大地缩减了开发的时间。本文以网络模型的基本内容为入手点,从物理层开始并逐渐上升,依次介绍了模型中每一层与设计思路直接关联的内容,并为实际系统功能的实施找到了对应的解决方案。无论是物理层的PHY芯片、MAC子层的控制器IP核,还是UDP/IP协议栈的简化RTL描述、应用层协议的自定制与使用,最终都化为整个系统架构中不可或缺的部分。本系统还使用一块DDR2 SDRAM芯片,用于完成数据缓存和丢包重传等重要功能,弥补了UDP/IP协议的不足。最后,在这个搭建的模型之上,选择实现了视频播放和数据采集两个具有代表性的应用,为验证模型的正确性提供了佐助。本系统通过了严密的调试和排错流程,已经能正确工作,但是仍然有缺陷和不足,这在文章的最后也有提及。
[Abstract]:With the rapid development of Ethernet technology, many industrial and civilian equipment also have the demand of networking.Moreover, the high-speed video transmission has caused the popularization of Gigabit Ethernet. The progress of FPGA chip technology has injected more vitality into embedded system.The function of monolithic system is becoming more and more rich and the content of IP library is becoming more and more perfect. It provides designers with good and reliable general modules and greatly reduces the development time.Taking the basic content of network model as the starting point, starting from the physical layer and rising gradually, this paper introduces the contents of each layer in the model directly related to the design idea, and finds the corresponding solution for the implementation of the actual system function.Whether it is the IP core of the controller of the PHY chip or the simplified RTL description of the UDP/IP protocol stack, the customization and use of the application layer protocol become an indispensable part of the whole system architecture.The system also uses a DDR2 SDRAM chip to complete important functions such as data cache and packet loss retransmission, which makes up for the deficiency of UDP/IP protocol.Finally, on the basis of this model, two representative applications of video playback and data acquisition are selected and implemented, which provides the aid to verify the correctness of the model.The system has passed a rigorous debugging and debugging process, has been able to work correctly, but there are still defects and deficiencies, which is also mentioned at the end of the article.
