多协议网络测量系统的设计与实现

【摘要】:随着云计算等网络应用的快速发展,现有网络性能是否足以承载上层应用变得越来越难以预见。准确、高效的网络测量工具所获得的数据可以被用来更合理地进行网络规划或准确地定位关键网络设备与节点,降低网络建设与维护成本。华为南京分公司希望能够通过网络测量等手段发现洲际互联网通信网络中的一些关键网络设备(如对网络传输能力产生瓶颈制约作用的路由、线路等),但常见的的网络测量工具都不能很好地满足目前的需求,尤其在网络拓扑信息的测量上。为此开发多协议网络测量系统设计用于互联网流量相关性能指标以及网络拓扑相关信息的测量,旨在通过对获取到的网络性能测量数据与网络拓扑测量数据的交叉对比来深入分析网络通信状况。作者项目期间对目前主流的网络测量工具进行了调研,对比了不同工具的优势及适用场景,并参与讨论项目需求,在Mentor指导下承担了整个网络测量系统的软件开发工作。本多协议网络测量系统采用主动测量工作方式,架构为混合式P2P结构,工作时通过索引服务器对参与测量的终端服务器进行任务配置和管理。在设计上采用多种测量协议,在网络防火墙对某些协议进行限制时提供更多的选择;在实现网络拓扑测量功能时融入了Paris-traceroute技术,排除了假链路对测量结果的干扰。目前多协议网络测量系统已完成项目一期要求的十次测量任务,测量数据已经用于对网络传输性能参数以及传输路径信息的分析与发掘。
[Abstract]:With the rapid development of cloud computing and other network applications, it is more and more difficult to predict whether the existing network performance can support the upper applications. The data obtained by the accurate and efficient network measurement tools can be used to plan the network more reasonably or locate the key network devices and nodes accurately and reduce the cost of network construction and maintenance. Huawei's Nanjing branch hopes to be able to discover some of the key network devices in the intercontinental Internet communication network, such as routing, which has a bottleneck effect on network transmission capacity, through network measurements and other means. Lines and so on, but common network measurement tools can not meet the current needs, especially in the measurement of network topology information. For this purpose, a multi-protocol network measurement system is designed for the measurement of Internet traffic related performance indicators and network topology related information. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the network communication by comparing the obtained network performance measurement data with the network topology measurement data. During the project, the author investigated the current mainstream network measurement tools, compared the advantages and applicable scenarios of different tools, and participated in the discussion of project requirements. Under the guidance of Mentor, the author undertook the software development work of the whole network measurement system. The multi-protocol network measurement system adopts the active measurement mode and the architecture is a hybrid P2P structure. The task configuration and management of the terminal server involved in the measurement are carried out through the index server. A variety of measurement protocols are used in the design to provide more choices when some protocols are restricted by the network firewall, and the Paris-traceroute technology is incorporated into the network topology measurement function to eliminate the interference of the false link to the measurement results. At present, the multi-protocol network measurement system has completed ten measurement tasks required in the first phase of the project. The measured data have been used to analyze and excavate the network transmission performance parameters and transmission path information.
