基于网络QoS参数的视频QoE评估模型

【摘要】:随着多样性的网络多媒体业务如IPTV、VoD和VoIP等的大量涌现及网络的普及,使得人们对因特网上多媒体应用的需求也大量增加。由于无线网络覆盖范围的扩大及IP带宽的增加,使得人们通过手机、笔记本、IPAD等移动终端来获取丰富多彩的多媒体服务变得越来越方便,然而实时视频流服务仍旧受到网络延迟和不确定丢包等因素的影响,服务质量和体验质量不能得到保证。 面对这些具有挑战性的因素,如何根据所提供的服务来保证终端客户的体验质量(Qualityof Experience,,QoE)是多媒体服务提供商目前迫切需要解决的问题。 本文通过对现有的视音频评价方法关于QoE的影响因素,以及常用的量化和分类方法的分析,结合无线信道的错误模型及网络层相关的服务质量(Quality of Service,QoS)参数,以视频流媒体服务为背景,对文献[42]提出的视频QoE评估模型进行改进,提出了改进的视频QoE评价模型。实验结果和分析表明,本文提出的改进模型比文献[42]的模型更加合理,能够更准确地表示视频的QoE值。 基于本文提出的模型,视频服务商能够根据传输网络性能预测通过传输后的视频的可接受度,从而能够为终端用户提供更好的服务。
[Abstract]:With the emergence of diverse network multimedia services such as IPTV,VoD and VoIP and the popularity of the network, the demand for multimedia applications on the Internet has increased greatly. Due to the expansion of wireless network coverage and the increase of IP bandwidth, it is becoming more and more convenient for people to obtain rich and colorful multimedia services through mobile terminals such as mobile phones, laptops, IPAD and so on. However, real-time video streaming services are still affected by network delay and uncertain packet loss, and the quality of service and experience can not be guaranteed. In the face of these challenging factors, how to guarantee the end customer experience quality (Qualityof Experience,QoE) according to the services provided is an urgent problem for multimedia service providers. Based on the analysis of the influence factors of the existing video and audio evaluation methods on QoE, as well as the commonly used quantization and classification methods, this paper combines the error model of wireless channel and the network layer related quality of service (Quality of Service,QoS) parameters. Based on video streaming media service, the video QoE evaluation model proposed in literature [42] is improved, and an improved video QoE evaluation model is proposed. Experimental results and analysis show that the improved model proposed in this paper is more reasonable than that in reference [42] and can represent the QoE value of video more accurately. Based on the model proposed in this paper, the video service provider can predict the acceptability of the transmitted video according to the performance of the transmission network, thus providing better service for the end user.
