基于OpenFlow的虚拟交换机的关键技术研究与实现

【摘要】:OpenFlow技术作为下一代互联网关键技术之一,是近年来提出的基于流分类的可编程新型网络技术,其核心思想是分离网络设备控制层面和数据转发层面,由控制层集中管理转发层,为网络创新、升级改造提供了极大便利,并因其可以方便地实现云计算环境中数据中心网络的虚拟化,在云计算数据中心有着很好的应用前景。然而,使用OpenFlow构建云计算数据中心网络还面临不少问题。其中,简单的OpenFlow流表匹配流程已不能满足数据中心交换机庞大的数据处理要求,另外,当前OpenFlow所支持的VLAN技术也无法解决数据中心虚拟机规模受限和多租户隔离的问题。为此,论文首先在深入研究OpenFlow流表结构和基于流的数据包匹配转发流程的基础上,分析了当前OpenFlow虚拟交换机流分类技术,针对云计算数据中心的应用场景,提出一种流表匹配方案,并采用OpenFlow1.3予以实现;其次,研究并分析VxLAN为代表的overlay网络技术,在OpenFlow虚拟交换机上实现VxLAN网络技术,并优化VxLAN报文在OpenFlow虚拟交换机中的转发流程和ARP报文应答流程,解决了数据中心虚拟机规模受限和多租户隔离问题。综上所述,论文针对OpenFlow交换机在云计算数据中心的应用场景,实现一种数据包匹配转发方案,并采用VxLAN技术解决了数据中心部署虚拟机规模受二层地址表项限制以及多租户网络隔离等问题。然后通过系统的测试和对实验结果的分析表明:该方案实现了功能完备、性能高效的流表匹配,其单级流表内核态转发时延稳定在十几微秒;并解决了云计算数据中心虚拟机规模受限和多租户网络隔离的问题,同时提高了VxLAN网络中报文转发效率并通过控制器代答ARP请求的方式避免了ARP广播。论文研究成果对OpenFlow技术应用,特别是OpenFlow虚拟交换机在云计算数据中心的应用具有重要意义。
[Abstract]:As one of the key technologies of the next generation Internet, OpenFlow technology is a new programmable network technology based on flow classification proposed in recent years. Its core idea is to separate the control layer from the data forwarding layer, and to manage the forwarding layer centrally by the control layer, which provides great convenience for network innovation and upgrading, and because it can conveniently realize the virtualization of data center network in cloud computing environment. It has a good application prospect in cloud computing data center. However, using OpenFlow to build cloud computing data center network still faces many problems. Among them, the simple OpenFlow flow table matching process can no longer meet the huge data processing requirements of data center switches. In addition, the current VLAN technology supported by OpenFlow can not solve the problems of data center virtual machine size limitation and multi-tenant isolation. Therefore, based on the in-depth study of OpenFlow flow table structure and flow-based packet matching and forwarding flow, the current OpenFlow virtual switch flow classification technology is analyzed. Aiming at the application scenario of cloud computing data center, a flow table matching scheme is proposed and implemented by OpenFlow1.3. Secondly, the overlay network technology represented by VxLAN is studied and analyzed, the VxLAN network technology is implemented on OpenFlow virtual switch, and the forwarding flow and ARP message reply flow of VxLAN message in OpenFlow virtual switch are optimized, which solves the problems of virtual machine size limitation and multi-tenant isolation in data center. In summary, aiming at the application scenario of OpenFlow switch in cloud computing data center, this paper implements a packet matching and forwarding scheme, and uses VxLAN technology to solve the problem that the size of virtual machine deployment in data center is limited by layer 2 address table items and multi-tenant network isolation. Then, through the system test and the analysis of the experimental results, it is shown that the scheme realizes complete function and efficient flow table matching, and the kernel forwarding delay in the single-stage flow table is stable at more than 10 microseconds, and solves the problems of virtual machine size limitation and multi-tenant network isolation in cloud computing data center, at the same time, it improves the message forwarding efficiency in VxLAN network and avoids ARP broadcasting by answering ARP requests by controller. The research results of this paper are of great significance to the application of OpenFlow technology, especially the application of OpenFlow virtual switch in cloud computing data center.
