W(中国)跨国公司战略管理案例研究

W公司作为第一家进入中国市场的跨国公司,经过几十年的强势发展和扩张,在中国市场较其他跨国公司垫定了较为坚实的基础。如今,对于W(中国)而言,不仅要面对中国本土企业还要面对不断涌进中国市场的跨国集团,如何在严峻的竞争条件下,获得和保持竞争优势,应如何应对挑战所带来的挑战和威胁,进行跨国公司战略调整,实现W(中国)在中国可持续发展成为极为重要的课题,这也是W(中国)现阶段在中国的发展面临的最大挑战。本文用案例分析法,总结W在进入期、改革开放期、投资、合作扩大期、飞越期所采用的不同战略,这几个时期正好与中国几个重要改革时间基本重合。用倒SWOT和PEST分析说明W公司是先了解了外部环境才结合自身特点制定相应的战略,与传统正SWOT分析法有别,这正好与前面不同时期采用不同战略方法不谋而合。通过对W(中国)案例的研究,得出结论,W作为跨世纪的百年企业,拥有着源源不断的发展动力、持久生命力和竞争力,W百年发展历史就是一系列技术不断革新的过程,W在中国的不断发展壮大的战略经验值得我们研究和学习。同时,面临挑战,W(中国)应从6个方面进行战略实施与保障以实现其在中国的可持续发展目标。
