【摘要】：《太姥宝卷》是吴地宝卷中常用的神灵宝卷之一;在江苏省苏州市常熟地区,太姥更是地方神灵信仰的核心。文章以在常熟地区搜集的十种《太姥宝卷》为底本,通过比对相应文献,并参照对当地宣卷活动的田野调查,指出该宝卷在大量借鉴通俗小说《南游记》的同时,又有许多"合目的性"的增删、改造和新创,从而形成一部带有明确仪式指涉的自足文本,因此也超越了小说定位而具有民间信仰经卷的神圣性。而从具体的仪式指涉来看,其叙事渊源可能远早于宝卷文体,当中很可能有一段隐形的历史,这或许是江南民间神灵宝卷文本共同的特质。
