【摘要】：经考,袁淑任彭城王义康军司祭酒是在元嘉八年(431年),任衡阳王义季右军主簿是在元嘉九年(432年),任卫军临川王刘义庆谘议参军是在元嘉十六年(439年),任宣城太守是在元嘉十九年(442年),入补中书侍郎是在元嘉二十一年(444年),任太子中庶子是在元嘉二十四年(447年),任始兴王征北长史、南东海太守是在元嘉二十七年(450年),任御史中丞是在元嘉二十八年(451年)。另考,袁淑《种兰诗》作于元嘉八年(431年),《游新亭曲水诗序》作于元嘉十一年(434年),《防御索虏议》《始兴王浚书》作于元嘉二十七年(450年),《与何尚之书》《鹦鹉赋》作于元嘉二十九年(452年)。
