条形槽波导模式特性研究

【摘要】:槽波导可以很好的将光限制在低折射率槽中,所以在非线性光学、微纳光学传感、光子学器件等领域都有重要的应用潜力。本文首先对照平板槽波导中的四种模式,对不同参数的三维槽波导中的模式进行了求解,证明在三维槽波导中同样存在cosh型、sinh型、cos型和sin型四种模式。然后,我们计算分析了三维槽波导的结构参数对其模式特性的影响规律,分析了结构参数对模式数量和限制因子的影响。最后,我们构造了求解三维槽波导的有效折射率法,并将该方法与用有限元法求解的结果进行了对比,分析了有效折射率法误差的主要来源。本文工作可为更好地了解和利用槽波导提供有益的参考。
[Abstract]:Slot waveguides can be well confined to low refractive index grooves, so they have important application potential in nonlinear optics, micro and nano optical sensing, photonics devices and so on. In this paper, the modes of three dimensional grooves with different parameters are solved in comparison with the four modes in planar grooves. It is proved that there are also four modes of cosh and sin in three dimensional grooves. Then, we calculate and analyze the influence of the structure parameters on the mode characteristics, and analyze the influence of the structural parameters on the number of modes and the limiting factors. Finally, we construct an effective refractive index method for 3D grooved waveguides, and compare the results of the method with that of the finite element method, and analyze the main sources of errors in the effective refractive index method. This work can provide a useful reference for better understanding and utilization of slot waveguides.
