[Abstract]:Sandstone intrusion is a kind of soft sediment deformation formed by liquefaction of unconsolidated sandy sediments in shallow burial stage and invading to the upper overburden. It is very developed in the Oligocene strata of Viking graben in Beihai Basin. In order to study the morphological characteristics and inducing mechanism of sandstone intrusions, the sandstone intrusions are identified by means of high-resolution 3-D seismic and logging data, seismic reflection structure analysis and seismic coherence slicing. The genetic mechanism of sandstone intrusion is analyzed by considering the correlation between fluid filling and sandstone intrusion in polygonal fault system. The results show that the sandstone intrusions which can be identified on the seismic profile are mostly V-type or W-type strong amplitude reflection characteristics, and their lateral distribution scale is about 1 / 2 km, vertical invasion height is about 100m ~ 200m; Large-scale fluid filling and polygonal fault induced caprock fracture are the key factors to form overpressure in sand body and induce liquefaction. Sandstone intrusions can be used as fluid migration channels after formation, which is of great significance for strengthening vertical migration of fluids, and sandstone intrusions themselves can be used as favorable reservoir for oil and gas. Therefore, identifying and analyzing the genetic mechanism of sandstone intrusions is of great significance to the evaluation of sealing property of caprock and oil and gas exploration.
