1,3,5-三苯基苯晶体的溶液降温法生长及其性能

【摘要】:以丙酮为溶剂,采用溶液降温法生长1,3,5-三苯基苯(TPB)晶体。在40~45℃温区下生长出尺寸为19 mm×15 mm×13 mm的透明块状晶体,生长速率约为3 mm/d。通过X射线衍射、光学显微镜观察、热分析、荧光光谱和脉冲形状鉴别(PSD)测试对晶体进行了表征。结果表明:降温法生长的TPB晶体为正交晶系,空间群为Pna21;TPB单晶各向透明度高,没有宏观缺陷,但在各面上均存在生长花纹。TPB晶体的熔点为174℃,蒸发损失发生在283℃;TPB晶体在360 nm处具有相对尖锐和强的带边发射峰。TPB晶体总品质因数(FOM)值为0.85,表明它具有优异的中子/伽马(n/γ)射线辨别能力。
