物态方程对铁核坍缩型超新星爆发的影响

【摘要】:本工作对铁核坍缩型超新星爆发过程中的物态方程进行了研究,同时分析讨论了物态方程对超新星爆发中铁核坍缩以及激波产生、传播等过程的影响。 综述了铁核坍缩型超新星爆发的相关理论,包括恒星演化的基本过程、前身星演化情况、铁核坍缩、激波的形成及传播等内容。基于数值模拟对于认识理解铁核坍缩型超新星具体爆发机制具有重要作用,本文还详细介绍了相关的数值模拟问题,包括前身星模型、物态方程、弱相互作用以及本工作中将要使用的铁核坍缩型超新星爆发数值模拟程序SNⅡ-WLYW89等。同时,还分析比较了LS (Lattimer and Swesty)物态方程与SNⅡ-WLYW89中所使用物态方程的异同,并详细讨论了物态方程对铁核坍缩型超新星爆发的影响。 物态方程在超新星爆发过程中具有重要作用,它支配着引力坍缩、激波形成与传播的全过程。本文利用Lattimer与Swesty编制的LS物态方程代码,对SNⅡ-WLYW89超新星数值计算程序进行修改——原物态方程由LS物态方程代替,并使用Woosley与Heger于2008年得到的新前身星模型(WH08)进行相关计算。将相关计算结果与原SNⅡ-WLYW89的计算结果进行分析比较,发现LS物态方程下,铁核坍缩结束时恒星的中心密度最高只达到了核密度的1.5倍,而SNⅡ—WLYW89计算的中心密度则到了核密度的4倍:另外,在LS物态方程下,计算得到的同模区质量(Ms)偏小,这使得产生的激波若要到达恒星最外层而将要行走的路程相对于SNⅡ—WLYW89偏长;同时,LS物态方程下中微子的能量损失较大,使得激波在向外传播的过程中损失了较多的能量,不利于激波向外传播及超新星的成功爆发。
