特征模理论及其在UWB MIMO天线设计中的应用

【摘要】:特征模理论近年来在天线设计领域受到了广泛关注,它可以对天线的主要特性加以物理意义上的解释,也能高精度地求解边界复杂的电磁问题。它以物体的本征模作为展开函数处理待求问题,可以描述任意形状物体的辐射机理。随着人们对通信速率和质量的要求越来越高,如何提高无线通信系统的信道容量和通信质量成为了无线通信技术研究的一个重要领域。超宽带(Ultra Wide Band,UWB)通信技术具有能充分利用频谱资源、保密性能好、传输效率高等优点,但是功率谱密度低。而采用多输入多输出(Multi-Input Multi-Output,MIMO)技术可以提高频谱效率、增大覆盖范围、降低功耗、提高链路可靠性高等。将二者结合的UWB MIMO技术可以有效增加UWB通信系统的信道容量和工作范围,在无线通信系统中有广阔的应用前景。本文主要研究利用特征模理论对UWB MIMO天线进行分析和设计。下面简要介绍本文的主要内容。第一章主要介绍研究背景和所做工作的意义。介绍了国内外特征模理论及其在天线设计方面的研究情况,以及MIMO天线常见的几种去耦合的方法。第二章介绍经典特征模的物理意义和利用特征模研究任意形状物体时涉及到的特征值、特征电流等主要参数,揭示了用特征模指导天线设计的理论依据,为后续的天线研究做铺垫。此外,还简单介绍了MIMO通信技术。第三章首先介绍了宽频段内的特征模式排列方法,并利用特征模理论分析了超宽带天线单元和两单元多天线。通过引入隔离结构,使UWB MIMO天线的两种主要特征模式在同一频段谐振,且不同端口的特征电流反相,从而使天线在超宽频带具有了较高的隔离度。第四章基于特征模理论设计了两种尺寸较小的UWB MIMO天线。通过仿真研究了天线的方向图、辐射效率和包络相关系数等,并加工天线验证了天线的部分性能。结果表明,这两种天线性能良好,可以应用在UWB MIMO通信系统中。最后对全文工作进行总结,并对下一步研究进行了展望。
[Abstract]:In recent years, the characteristic mode theory has been paid more and more attention in the field of antenna design, and it can explain the main characteristics of antenna in the physical sense. It can also be used to solve complex electromagnetic problems with high accuracy. It uses the eigenmode of an object as an expansion function to deal with the problem to be solved, and can describe the radiation mechanism of an object with arbitrary shape. With the increasing demand for the communication rate and quality, the radiation mechanism of an object with arbitrary shape can be described. How to improve the channel capacity and communication quality of wireless communication system has become an important research field of wireless communication technology. Ultra-wideband (Ultra Wide) communication technology has the advantages of making full use of spectrum resources, good security performance, high transmission efficiency and so on. But the power spectrum density is low, and the multi-input multi-output multi-output MIMO-technology can improve the spectrum efficiency, increase the coverage and reduce the power consumption. The combination of UWB MIMO technology and link reliability can effectively increase the channel capacity and working range of UWB communication system. It has a broad application prospect in wireless communication system. This paper mainly studies the analysis and design of UWB MIMO antenna by using characteristic mode theory. The main contents of this paper are briefly introduced. Chapter 1 mainly introduces the research background and the. This paper introduces the characteristic mode theory at home and abroad and its research situation in antenna design. In the second chapter, the physical meaning of the classical eigenmodes and the main parameters involved in the study of arbitrary shape objects by using the eigenmodes, such as eigenvalues, characteristic currents, and so on, are introduced. This paper reveals the theoretical basis of antenna design guided by characteristic mode, and lays the groundwork for further antenna research. In addition, the MIMO communication technology is briefly introduced. In chapter 3, the method of feature pattern arrangement in broadband band is first introduced. The UWB antenna element and the two-element multi-antenna are analyzed by the eigenmode theory. By introducing the isolation structure, the two main characteristic modes of the UWB MIMO antenna are resonant in the same frequency band, and the characteristic current of different ports is inversed. In chapter 4th, two kinds of smaller UWB MIMO antennas are designed based on eigenmode theory. The pattern of antenna, radiation efficiency and envelope correlation coefficient are studied by simulation. The results show that the two antennas have good performance and can be used in UWB MIMO communication system. Finally, the work of this paper is summarized, and the future research is prospected.
