【摘要】：信息时代，国际科技文化交流日益频繁。在科技飞速发展的今天，各国间科技领域的竞争愈演愈烈，因此及时准确地把科研成果公诸于世，意义重大。 学术论文是对外展示科研成果的重要途径，是科技工作者频繁使用的一种科技英语文体，学术论文中的英文引言是对全文内容和结构的总体勾画，其写作对于国内各个不同领域的科研人员来说至关重要，关系到他们的论文在多大程度上被国外读者所关注。但当今，从语言学角度对学术论文英文引言的研究还不很充分。本文重点研究了学术论文英文引言的特点及其写作技巧。本文理论联系实际，从国际性学术期刊中选取了8篇引言作为例子，从词汇，语法，修辞和语篇的特点加以分析，得出详细的经验性结论，尤其是引言写作的指导方针、五步骤、五个A策略以及4C原则。这些写作要求为科技工作者撰写科研论文的英文引言提供了理论指导和实践借鉴。
