[Abstract]:It is time for us to go back to the earth and the islands, let us fill the empty space with every green grass, every cry of the baby, and let space and time be the extension of your life and my life and the flying birds of the stream again. It is not the hegemony in the air that establishes the dimension of control. What is the value of my study of India? After completing Global Hunting (2006, Chinese translation 2011, translated by Wang Di), I asked myself this question from time to time. Of course, my understanding of India was far less detailed than that of Indian scholars. Nor can it be more comprehensive than an international scholar trained in systematic Indian studies. What can my work do to deepen our understanding of India? If it is to understand the world, translation and editing will obviously be more efficient in this age of information glut.
