冉冉兴起的第四世界

【摘要】：正1974年,一本名为《第四世界》的书问世,对土著居民在世界各处受到的冷漠与不公进行了呐喊与控诉。这本书的作者是加拿大土著民族领袖乔治·曼努埃尔(George Manuel,1921-1989)。曼努埃尔曾领导加拿大全国印第安人联盟(后更名为第一民族联盟),他的著作为1975年世界土著人理事会的成立奠定了基础。曼努埃尔和他的战友们来自不同的国家;他们有着相似的经历——人民被殖民,权利被压迫,文化被侵略;他们发出了一样的声音——要求这个世界重新审视土著人的现状,将应有的权利还给土著人。
[Abstract]:In 1974, a book called fourth World was published, shouting and accusing indigenous peoples of indifference and injustice around the world. The author of the book is George George Manuel,1921-1989, the aboriginal leader of Canada. Manuel, who led the Canadian National Indian Union (later renamed first Nations Alliance), laid the foundation for the creation of the World Aboriginal Council in 1975. Manuel and his comrades came from different countries; they had a similar experience-people were colonized, rights were oppressed, cultures were invaded, and they spoke the same voice demanding that the world review the status quo of the indigenous people. Return due rights to indigenous peoples.
