Income Inequality of Racial Groups in the U.S.

为了观察美国白人,亚洲人和黑人三个种族群体之间的收入不平等,我打算看看高等教育教育如何与这些群体的收入相关?为了发现种族间的收入不平等,我将接受高等教育年数与不同种族中的同性和异性的平均收入进行了比较。我采用这种方法,是因为考虑到平均高等教育年份高应该会产生更高的收入,可以使用多元线性回归分析以三种方式进行考察。首先,通过比较上述种族群体中男性的收入-教育关系。二,上述种族中女性的收入-教育关系。最后,高等教育对同一种族男女平均收入的影响,有助于观察任何种族中存在的性别歧视。我把两个年龄段的种族和性别不平等分作四个年龄组,从25岁到64岁。从美国人口普查局获得的关于收入,教育,种族,年龄和性别的数据分析结果与文献相一致。结果显示,与白人相比,亚洲人和黑人有收入不平等的迹象。在收到高等教育的亚洲人之间,收入差距更为突出。性别不平等程度最高的是白人男性和女性之间,黑人(的性别不平等程度)最低,可能是因为白人男性工资较高,黑人男性工资最低。收入与教育的相关性对于女人来说往往比男人更多。
