从澳大利亚民族特性看澳大利亚博彩业

赌博在澳大利亚社会文化中有着重要和特殊的地位。从第一批殖民者登陆以来,赌博就在这个国家繁荣开来,并成为今天澳大利亚获利丰厚,蓬勃发展的博彩业。澳大利亚是世界上少有的以带有赌博性质的活动作为国定假日的国家。澳大利亚人对赌博的喜爱被称作连墙上的苍蝇也可以拿来赌一赌。很多澳大利亚人对这样的评价也颇感骄傲。赌博为何在澳大利亚享有如此高的地位,其深层原因在于赌博与澳大利亚民族性之间紧密的联系。本文通过对澳大利亚博彩业历史和现状的研究,分析澳大利亚博彩业与其民族特性之间的关系,着眼于博彩业的文化因素,并运用这些因素来解释和研究赌博这一重要的社会现象。本文首先介绍澳大利亚博彩业现状和澳大利亚民族性的含义,作为研究背景。其次介绍赌博在澳大利亚历史上不断发展的过程。其经历了特殊的历史事件和历史背景,发展成为一项全国性热衷的活动。再次,将澳大利亚民族性中最具代表性的四个因素,平等主义,体育狂热,宿命论和伙伴情谊带入博彩业的发展中进行分析,揭示出赌博是这些文化因素的一个表现载体。对澳大利亚人来说,赌博不仅仅是娱乐活动,更重要的是它是自己民族特性的体现。最后,本文表明赌博与澳大利亚民族性联系紧密,并不意味着澳...
