【摘要】：马克思对人类学家路易斯亨利摩尔根著作《古代社会》所做的笔记《古代社会一书摘要》（以下简称《摘要》），作为其晚年手稿的核心部分，具有重要研究意义和价值。本文主要通过对《古代社会》和《摘要》结构上的对比分析；对历史分期认识、生存技术、家庭形式、私有制问题、氏族产生消亡问题、翻译名称问题、唯物史观认识等理论问题进行分析；对《摘要》中批语、文字旁竖线的统计研究，，总结出对马克思《古代社会一书摘要》的研究结论。马克思对摩尔根《古代社会》的研究充实了以往对历史唯物主义的理解和认识，古代氏族民主制度以及共产主义生产方式才是私有财产、阶级消亡和引领未来人类历史发展进步的“钥匙”。
