【摘要】：现代化研究是当代中国史学发展的一个热点问题。罗荣渠先生对现代化的理论研究和世界现代化进程的研究取得了令人瞩目的成果。本文认为，将现代化问题作为一个“世界历史”问题引入史学领域，是罗先生对当代史学的特殊贡献。把西方学者作为发展社会学、发展经济学进行研究的现代化研究作为历史学研究；就要遵循历史学的基本理论和方法。本文从历史本体论、认识论、方法论的角度，对罗先生的现代化研究，进行了全面的审视，文章对于罗荣渠先生对“现代化”的重新定位，对于他所论述的世界历史发展进程所提出的“一元多线的历史发展观”，影响个别国家、民族历史发展的“灾变论”，以及罗先生在分析现代化问题时所运用的整体地、联系地看问题的方法、跨学科研究方法和比较研究的方法都作了重点分析。本文充分肯定了这一研究在历史学研究中的科学价值。现代化研究的深入发展，必将对中国史学（包括世界近现代史和中国近现代史）的研究产生深远影响。罗荣渠先生所以能从历史学的角度为现代化定位，并进行有关的理论研究和历史发展进程全方位研究，是与他作为历史学家的特殊素养分不开的，，本文也对止匕进行了重点研究，并提出了自己的见解。
[Abstract]:The study of modernization is a hot issue in the development of contemporary Chinese historiography.
