【摘要】：土匪问题是民国时期普遍存在的社会问题之一,它是特定历史、文化背景下的产物,是社会转型期“失范”行为的表现。湘西作为一个偏远的少数民族地区,在民国时期土匪日炙,除了受到当时社会环境的影响,也受到其特殊的自然地理条件、文化传统以及战略地位等各种因素的影响。本文共有六个部分,绪论部分主要是关于湘西土匪研究情况的分析,从而对该主题研究现状的整体把握。第一章,主要是对民国时期湘西地区社会、政治、经济、文化的概括和分析,以为后文湘西匪患研究做一个背景基础。第二章,是以获得的资料为基础,归纳和总结当时土匪在民国各个时期的分布、构成、特点以及危害性。民国时期湘西土匪的人数多、分布广,虽然土匪在不同时期其规模大小、人员构成、土匪性质方面不尽相同,但所带来的危害和破坏性是一致的。第三章,是对湘西匪患的成因分析。湘西匪患的形成有自然气候、地理地貌、经济文化落后等诸多方面的成因。并且位于少数民族聚居地,湘西土匪的形成离不开它所特有的历史遗留问题和社会政治。第四章,主要分析了国民党剿匪的方式以及成效。总体来看,对于剿匪的部署国民党当局可谓是“煞费苦心”,但由于其本身的政治腐败,所以剿匪并没有取得众望所归的成效,反而是出现了长剿不灭的现象。最后是余论,这部分有两个方面内容,一是涉及抗战后共产党剿匪部分,概括了共产党剿匪及其成功的原因,以此保证论文的整体性和完整性。另一方面,主要是对整个湘西匪患的情况、定义和现实意义等进行概述。湘西土匪不能笼统的定义为用暴力抢劫、袭击的群体和个人,它从最开始经济土匪的范畴到具有强烈政治需求的组织,其本质发生了极大变化。其次,湘西土匪从多、散、小以本地人为主的群体到后来发展成为官、军、匪的部队,其成长过程在不同阶段各有特点。
