【摘要】：经世致用派是明末清初之际形成的一种学术流派。他们反对学术研究脱离现实,强调做学问要有利于国计民生,把学术研究和当前的现实紧密结合起来,往往以解释古代典籍为手段,发挥自己的见解,为解决社会的政治、经济、军事等实际问题服务。鸦片战争前,经世致用思想再次兴起,以龚自珍、魏源为代表的经世致用派,对国计民生、制度改革、除弊兴利等方面均有探讨,与治乱兴衰密切相关的“时务”再度成为士大夫们关注的热点。鸦片战争爆发,面对外国的入侵,经世派以抗敌御辱、探索救国真理为宗旨,他们的视野由国内扩大到西方世界经世致用学派从关注“时务”转向了“夷务”。第二次鸦片战争后,以冯桂芬为代表的经世致用派在遵循传统文化的基础上,提出“中体西用”的思想。本文系统地论述经世致用派的形成、发展及其思想认识,着重探讨鸦片战争前后经世致用派的转变,旨在阐释特定的历史时期进步知识分子的历史使命感、时代责任感,从源头上揭示中国近代社会转型的基本动因。
