近代中国基督教大学的职业教育研究

【摘要】:基督教大学是中国近代史上出现的特殊教育机构。可以说,基督教大学职业教育的发展与中国近代社会的变迁融于一起。传教士发现在中国直接布道的方式传教行不通时,就开始改变传教策略并且寻求新的传播途径,即采用“间接布道”的方式进行传教。在这种形势下,为了培养一批具备基督教精神和掌握西方科学文化的人来领导并统治中国,基督教大学教育在中国逐步开展起来。基督教大学开展职业教育,,适应了中国国情,满足了当时中国对专门人才的需求,在一定程度上成了推动中国社会发展的不自觉的工具。 基督教大学是近代中西文化交流的产物,它在中国教育近代化过程中起着某种程度示范与导向作用,是中国近代教育现代化发展的一个轨迹。本论文从以下几方面对基督教大学职业教育进行了研究: 第一章主要讲述了基督教传入近代中国以及基督教大学兴起的过程。当传教士发现在中国直接布道的方式传教行不通时,就开始以间接手段进行传教,转向教育。随着基督教小学、中学的建立,基督教高等教育逐步兴起,发展到20世纪,基督教大学步入大发展时期,基督教大学职业教育逐步建立起来。 第二章主要讲述了基督教大学职业教育兴起的历史背景,即中国本土化大学的兴起、民族主义的冲击、中国自身教育思想的影响以及基督教本身教育理念的变化。四个因素相互交织,相互发展,从而促使基督教大学职业教育实现了质的突破。 第三章主要论述了基督教大学职业教育的发展历程,主要分为三个时期,即兴起并初步发展期、完善成熟期和调整期。各个时期有各个时期的历史特点,而前一个时期的发展又为下个时期的发展打好基础。根据其各个时期的发展,基督教大学开设了不同的职业课程,在本文中各个阶段主要截取了典型大学的几种典型职业教育进行探讨,以此说明本阶段的历史特点。 第四章主要以金陵大学农学院的发展为例,具体介绍了基督教大学职业教育的开展情况。主要讲述了金陵大学农学院的发展,从三个方面进行论述,即金陵大学职业教育的发展历程、办学特色和历史地位。金陵大学农学院是我国农林的先驱,在我国农业教育史上具有里程碑的意义和地位。 第五章主要讲述了基督教大学职业教育的评析问题,主要从其办学特色、人才培养、对社会的贡献等方面进行论述。基督教大学职业教育主要有三个办学特色:中西文艺、兼容并包,理论与实践相结合和基督教色彩由强变弱。基督教大学职业教育对社会的贡献包括将西方先进的科学技术引入中国,为我国培养了大量的专业人才以及推动了中国教育的发展。
[Abstract]:Christian University is a special education institution in Chinese modern history. It can be said that the development of vocational education in Christian universities and the changes of modern Chinese society. When missionaries found that the way of direct preaching in China was not feasible, they began to change the missionary strategy and seek a new way of spreading, that is, "indirect sermons". In this situation, in order to train a group of people with Christian spirit and grasp the western science and culture to lead and rule China, Christian university education gradually developed in China. To a certain extent, Christian universities developed vocational education, adapted to China's national conditions and met the demand for specialized personnel in China at that time, and to a certain extent, it became an unconscious tool to promote the development of Chinese society. Christian University is the product of the cultural exchange between China and the West in modern times. It plays a role of demonstration and guidance in the process of educational modernization in China, and it is a track of the development of modern education in China. This thesis has carried on the research from the following aspects to the Christian university vocational education: The first chapter mainly describes the introduction of Christianity into modern China and the rise of Christian universities. When missionaries found that direct preaching in China was not feasible, they began to preach indirectly and turn to education. With the establishment of Christian primary school and middle school, Christian higher education rose gradually. In the 20th century, Christian university stepped into the period of great development, and the vocational education of Christian university was gradually established. The second chapter mainly describes the historical background of the rise of vocational education in Christian universities, that is, the rise of local universities in China, the impact of nationalism, the influence of China's own educational thoughts and the changes of educational concepts of Christianity itself. The four factors interweave and develop each other, which makes the vocational education of Christian University achieve a qualitative breakthrough. The third chapter mainly discusses the development course of the Christian university vocational education, which is divided into three periods, namely, the rise and preliminary development period, the perfect mature period and the adjustment period. Each period has the historical characteristics of each period, and the development of the previous period lays a good foundation for the development of the next period. According to the development of each period, Christian University has set up different vocational courses. In each stage of this paper, the typical vocational education of typical universities has been discussed, and the historical characteristics of this stage have been explained. The fourth chapter mainly introduces the development of vocational education in Christian University by taking the development of Agricultural College of Jinling University as an example. This paper mainly describes the development of Jinling University's Agricultural College and discusses from three aspects: the development course of Jinling University's vocational education, the characteristics of running a school and its historical position. The Agricultural College of Jinling University is the pioneer of agriculture and forestry in China, which has a milestone significance and status in the history of agricultural education in China. The fifth chapter mainly describes the evaluation of Christian university vocational education, mainly from its school characteristics, talent training, contribution to society and so on. The vocational education of Christian University has three characteristics: Chinese and Western literature and art, the combination of theory and practice, and Christian color from strong to weak. The contribution of vocational education in Christian universities to the society includes the introduction of advanced western science and technology into China, the training of a large number of professionals for our country and the promotion of the development of Chinese education.
