Translated by Yuan Jian of the Central University for nationalities, the Chinese translation of the book is entitled "Beijing's rickshaw driver: city, inhabitant and Politics in the 1920s." it was published by Jiangsu people's Publishing House in 1993. Published in British History Review, vol. 108, 428, pp. 763-764, published by (Oxford University Press), Oxford University Press, July 1993.
