【摘要】：在近代,广西是西方教会在华开展活动的一个重要区域,教会与民众之间冲突激烈、教案频发成为近代广西社会的一大特点。引发冲突和教案的原因很多,包括中外战事带来反教的连锁反应、传教士购置土地引发地产争端、劫匪引发事端、传教士对民间习俗的忽视以及绅民维护传统礼俗引发冲突,等等。了解近代广西民教冲突和教案发生的原因,有助于加深广西地方史的研究。
