【摘要】：正19世纪中叶,随着台湾作为通商口岸开放,大量西方人入台,他们留下了大量关于原住民及其生活区域描写的文字与图片记录。本文通过检阅近代来台西方人的著述,以期了解当时台湾地区原住民的出草习俗。出草是台湾少数民族猎人头习俗(猎首)的别称,就是将敌人的头颅割下的行为。猎人头这一野蛮习俗,因其神秘与稀有,吸引着西方人的目光,因而在近代来台的西方人的著述中有许多关于猎人头的记录。甘为霖在探访
[Abstract]:In the mid-19th century, with the opening of Taiwan as a trading port, a large number of Westerners entered Taiwan, leaving behind a large number of written and photographic records of the Aboriginal people and their living areas. This paper reviews the works of Westerners who came to Taiwan in modern times in order to understand the grass-growing customs of the native people in Taiwan at that time. Grass-growing is another name for the head-hunting custom of Taiwanese minority hunters, which is the act of cutting off the head of an enemy. The savage custom of Hunter's head, because of its mystery and rarity, attracts Westerners' attention, so there are many records about headhunters in the works of westerners who came to Taiwan in modern times.
