王者无外:论唐太宗的华夷观念

【摘要】：大一统局面下,唐太宗自觉践行儒家的王道理想,其华夷观念具有开放与内敛的双重特征,在国家共同体发展史上实现了三点突破:其一,消解以"长城"为象征符号的族群区隔意识;其二,扬弃自古贵中华贱夷狄的种族观念;其三,自知帝国边界的有限性,严格自律,以期实现"王者无外"之"太平世"的愿景。他的自信包容,是胡汉混血气质和天下中心主义的彰显。基于王道担当和历史兴亡之感,他讲诚信、施文德、慎终、知止,终于缔造出唐朝盛世繁华。但唐太宗君臣在夷夏问题上的反复,却体现了族群生存状态的深层焦虑,说明族群自我认同问题在某种程度上依然存在。
[Abstract]:Under the great unified situation, Tang Taizong conscientiously practise the Confucian ideal of royal road. His concept of Chinese and Yi has dual characteristics of openness and introvert. In the history of the development of the State Community, three breakthroughs have been realized: first, it dispelled the ethnic consciousness of the ethnic group with the symbol of "the Great Wall"; secondly, he abandoned the racial concept of the ancient barbarian, and the third, self-knowledge empire. The limited nature of the border and strict self-discipline in order to realize the vision of "the Taiping world" of "the king has no outside". His confidence and tolerance is the display of the mixed blood temperament of Hu Han and the central doctrine of the world. Based on the sense of King Tao and the rise and fall of history, he speaks good faith, Shence, prudence and knowledge, and finally created the flourishing of the Tang Dynasty. The repetition reflects the deep anxiety of the survival state of the ethnic group, which indicates that the problem of ethnic self identification still exists to some extent.
