【摘要】：《三宝太监西洋记通俗演义》(以下简称《西洋记》)根据“郑和下西洋”这一真实的历史事件敷衍而成,掺入了斗宝与斗法的精彩场面,光怪陆离,险象环生,真实与虚幻交织而成独特的异域风情画卷,洋溢着浓郁的浪漫主义情调。论文以《西洋记》为研究对象,分为五个章节,分别从小说的题材类型特点、寰宇体系与空间结构、主题思想、异域宝物考论和小说艺术特色五个方面展开全面、深入、系统地分析与研究。第一章重点讨论《西洋记》的叙事手法。作者运用演义与设幻的叙事手法,真实与虚幻相结合,从而使小说呈现出历史演义小说与神魔小说两种题材类型的特点。尤以《西洋记》对“郑和下西洋”历史事件的改写最能窥探作者杂糅历史演义与神魔设幻两种叙事手法的独到之处。第二章是对《西洋记》寰宇空间结构的研究,重点论述作者独特的幽冥观。宇宙观是由佛教、道教以及当时社会上流行的地理观融汇交织而成的,其中尤以幽冥观最为独特。《西洋记》杂糅了佛教的“四大部洲”说,道教的“洞天福地”说以及“三才定位”的宇宙观。可见,这一宇宙观的形成与小说儒、释、道三教浑融的思想密切相关。第三章重点分析了《西洋记》的主题思想。小说通过叙写以郑和为统帅的船队前往西洋国家的旅航与征程,意在借古喻今,宣扬大明国威。围绕着这一主题,作者以抚夷取宝为线,扬我大明国威;以异国风光为事,开我国民眼界;以神魔斗法为辅,炫学寄慨。此外,探析小说思想主题的过程中,也可窥见作者的某些价值观念。第四章重点讨论的是《西洋记》中的异域宝物,包括异域贡物、人物坐骑和法器。宝物描写是该小说的一大特色。这些充满奇异性的宝物极具研究价值,故单独设一专章进行研究。本章分别从宝物归类、素材来源、文化意蕴等方面展开分析。第五章主要分析《西洋记》的艺术特色与不足。该章主要从小说人物塑造、情节结构、语言特点以及艺术风格等方面展开系统研究。自然,针对《西洋记》存在的缺点与不足也要给予客观的评价。

The third chapter focuses on the analysis of the theme of the Book of the West. The novel describes the voyage and journey of the fleets headed by Zheng he to the western countries. The fifth chapter mainly analyzes the artistic characteristics and shortcomings of the Book of the West. This chapter mainly studies the characters, plot structure, language characteristics and artistic style of the novel. Naturally, the shortcomings and shortcomings of the Book of the West should also be evaluated objectively.
