清末民初小说中的女学生书写研究(1902-1917)

【摘要】:清末“小说界革命”的提出和新小说家们的踊跃实践,使得中国小说开始告别古典时期,逐渐走向现代。其时“兴女学”运动的发展和社会精英人士对女性解放的推动,也使得中国女性的生活发生深刻的变化。“女学生”是晚清社会的热点人物,也是当时文学叙事所关注的焦点。清末民初小说中有众多女学生形象。小说叙事中的女学生作为一个多种话语汇聚的课题,具有相当丰赡的论说空间。论文以由清末发端的新小说为主要文本,以女学生这一特殊群体为分析对象,将目光聚焦于清末民初(1902-1917)十几年间,试图借由对清末女学生形象的研究,厘清清末女性解放思潮与民族国家话语之间的缠绕;借由对民初女学生形象的剖析,考察其背后所隐藏的叙述者之价值取向。除绪论和余论外,本文共分为三章:第一章旨在追溯“小说界革命”、“兴女学”运动的发生与发展及“女学生”这一群体出现在小说中的契机。第一节通过解读梁启超等人的小说理论,返回晚清“小说界革命”的现场,通过对新小说创作实绩的概述,重现新小说诞生期的灿烂图景;第二节之重点在于探究“兴女学”运动发生发展的历史文化语境,并通过对“中国女学堂”的成立这一历史时刻的回瞻,再现中国女子教育起步期的艰难历程;第三节试图从三个方面来揭示女学生得以进入小说的契机。第二章则尝试为清末民初女学生形象的流变勾勒出一个大致的脉络。从清末到民初十几年间,小说家们对女学生的想象和书写持续不断。这些小说家并没有形成风格相近的艺术流派,思想倾向与文学旨趣也各个不同,他们对女学生的激赏或批判在女学生书写这一领域内构成了一种众声喧哗的效果。然而从横向上来看,对女学生的想象与书写在某一特定时期仍存在一个相对主流的倾向,如清末小说中对“英雌”女学生的正面书写,民初小说中对“佳人”女学生之才、貌、情、德四方面的想象;从纵向上来说,女学生形象由清末到民初的流变也并非没有规律可循。本章通过三小节的论述,在横向上提炼出各个时段女学生形象的代表(包括正面与负面),在纵向上为女学生形象的流变勾勒出一个较为明晰的脉络。第三章的重点在于对女学生形象流变之深层原因的揭示。论文以清末民初小说中女学生形象的流变为基本脉络,却并非脱离历史语境,单一而孤立地讨论女学生形象,也绝非以庸俗社会学观点来图解女学生形象,而是将其置于清末民初历史语境之下,置于新小说发生发展的整体框架之中,既强调文学与社会思想文化问题的关联性,亦突出文学作为一种审美意识形态的鲜明的独特性。论文认为,从清末至民初,女学生形象的流变与时代氛围和文学氛围的变化,新小说创作群体的演进,小说类别的更迭有着深层的联系。
[Abstract]:With the introduction of the novel Revolution in the late Qing Dynasty and the enthusiastic practice of the new novelists, the Chinese novels began to bid farewell to the classical period and gradually moved towards the modern. At that time, the development of the women's school movement and the push of the social elite to the emancipation of women also made profound changes in the life of Chinese women. Female students was a hot figure in the late Qing Dynasty and was the focus of literature narration at that time. There are many images of female students in the novels of late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China. Female students in novel narration, as a subject of multi-discourse convergence, have plenty of space to talk about. This paper takes the new novel which originated from the late Qing Dynasty as the main text, takes the female student as the analysis object, focuses on the late Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China (1902-1917) for more than ten years, tries to study the image of female students in the late Qing Dynasty. This paper clarifies the entanglement between the thought of female liberation in the late Qing Dynasty and the discourse of nation-state, and, by analyzing the image of female students in the early Republic of China, investigates the value orientation of the narrator hidden behind it. In addition to the introduction and the conclusion, this paper is divided into three chapters: the first chapter aims to trace back to the "novel revolution", the emergence and development of the movement of "exhilarating women's study" and the opportunity of "female students" appearing in the novel. The first section through the interpretation of the novel theory of Liang Qichao and others, return to the scene of the "novel revolution" in the late Qing Dynasty, through the summary of the actual achievements of the new novel creation, recreate the brilliant picture of the birth period of the new novel; The second section focuses on exploring the historical and cultural context of the development of the movement, and through looking back at the historical moment of the establishment of the "Chinese Girls' School", it reproduces the difficult course of the initial period of Chinese women's education. The third section attempts to reveal the opportunity for female students to enter the novel from three aspects. The second chapter attempts to outline the evolution of the image of female students in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China. From the late Qing Dynasty to the early Republic of China, novelists' imagination and writing of female students continued. These novelists have not formed a similar style of art schools, and their ideological tendencies and literary purport are different. Their appreciation or criticism of female students constitutes a noisy effect in the field of female students' writing. However, horizontally, there is still a relatively mainstream tendency in the imagination and writing of female students in a certain period, such as the positive writing of female students in the novels of the late Qing Dynasty and the talent and appearance of the female students in the novels of the beginning of the Republic of China. From the vertical point of view, the change of female student image from the late Qing Dynasty to the early Republic of China is not without rules. Through the discussion of three sections, this chapter abstracts the representation of female students' images (positive and negative) in different periods horizontally, and outlines a relatively clear context for the evolution of female students' images vertically. The third chapter focuses on revealing the deep reasons for the change of female students' image. The thesis takes the change of female student image in the novels of the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China as the basic thread, but it is not divorced from the historical context, and discusses the female student image in a single and isolated way, nor does it illustrate the female student image from a vulgar sociological point of view. Instead, it is placed under the historical context of the late Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, and in the overall framework of the occurrence and development of new novels. It not only emphasizes the relationship between literature and social ideological and cultural problems, but also highlights the distinct uniqueness of literature as an aesthetic ideology. From the end of Qing Dynasty to the beginning of the Republic of China, the change of female students' image is closely related to the changes of the atmosphere of the times and literature, the evolution of new novel creation groups and the change of novel categories.
