【摘要】：2012年6月7日晚,华东师范大学中文系博士生导师朱志荣教授在上海交通大学闵行校区拜访了当代著名文化学者——美国夏威夷大学的成中英教授,并就本体美学的研究方法等问题请教了成先生。成中英教授祖籍湖北阳新,生于江苏南京,1955年毕业于台湾大学外文系,1958年获华盛顿大学哲学与逻辑学硕士学位,1963年获得哈佛大学哲学博士学位,20世纪70年代任台湾大学哲学系教授兼系主任暨研究所所长,自1983年起,执教于美国夏威夷大学哲学系教授,同时兼任多所大学的客座教授,并作为海外儒学研究的代表人物,长年致力于在西方世界推介中国哲学。他致力于中国哲学走向世界并做出巨大贡献,是《中国哲学季刊》的创立者和主编、国际中国哲学学会、国际易经学会、中国哲学高级研究中心、远东高级研究学院等国际性学术组织的创立者和主席,国际中国管理与现代伦理文教基金会的奠基人。创立美国国际东西方大学并兼校董会总监和校长,兼任东西方文化中心传播研究所高级顾问、美国耶鲁大学哲学客座教授、美国纽约市立大学客座哲学教授,日本国际基督教大学客座教授,台湾大学哲学系主任兼哲学研究所所长,中国人民大学客座教授,北京大学哲学系客座教授,西安交通大学客座教授,上海师范大学兼职教授、博士生导师。1973年在美国檀香山创立国际中国哲学学会,并为JOURNAL OF CHINESE PHI-LOSOPHY,倡导中国哲学现代化与世界化。1978年主持"第一届国际中国哲学会议",致力促进中西哲学的深入交流,弘扬中国思想文化。曾任"中华文化复兴委员会"常务理事,国际本体阐释学学会主席,国际中国哲学学会名誉主席。先后创办美国国际东西大学(INTERNATIONAL EAST WEST UNIVERSITY),国际中国哲学学会(现任荣誉会长),国际易经学会(现任主席),兼任英文中国哲学季刊总编辑。成中英教授致力于中西哲学比较、儒家哲学及本体诠释学研究,为中国哲学发展贡献颇多。本刊编辑部特刊发本次访谈,希望通过本次对话,让学界进一步了解成中英教授的美学思想及其所倡导的美学研究方法,为实现中国特色社会主义文化的大繁荣大发展,以及进一步推动实现中华民族的伟大复兴贡献力量。下面是具体的访谈内容,以飨读者。
