“多元调和”:张爱玲翻译的女性主义视角研究

【摘要】: 中国台湾作家张爱玲在20世纪中国现代文学史上赢得了“传奇”般的声誉。然而,“译者张爱玲”的角色很少出现于中国翻译史的书写。出生于旧上海没落贵族家庭的张爱玲,在中方文化碰撞焦点之地香港接受西洋教育,之后又将余生在大洋彼岸美国度过,这段辗转的人生经历孕育出了张爱玲独特的双重文化视角以及两性观照。相对于西方激进的女性翻译理论,以及中国本土温和的女性主义翻译主张而言,张爱玲的女性主义翻译诗学呈现出与众不同的面貌:即“多元调和下的女性主义翻译诗学”。以此为立论点并在女性主义翻译理论的指导下,本文将宏观上从“译者主体性与女性身份”,“创造性叛逆与女性经验”以及“人物刻画与女性形象”三方面的调和来展示张爱玲和谐,圆融的女性视阙,微观上,本文将采用文本分析,文本对比以及女性主义批评等方法来逐一展开每个“调和”点的论述。 本文的第一个创新点在于译本的选择,即“老人与海”以及“海上花”。根据女性主义翻译理论,译者主体性的体现在实践中主要表现为译本选择与干涉主义翻译策略选择。一般女性主义译者选择的译本分为两类:一是由女性作家书写的能凸显女性身份的文本;二是由男性作家书写的“厌女”类对抗性文本。女性主义译者将通过选择增补,脚注,前言以及“劫持”等女性主义翻译策略对文本进行改写与干涉,从而使女性译者身份得以确认和彰显。然而本文中选择的译本体现出了张爱玲另类的文本选择倾向,即选择由男性作家书写的要么是充满阳刚之气,要么是充满女性柔美的两部小说。突破主流女性主义文本选择的分类,张爱玲通过女性化“移情”使得刚柔并济的硬汉形象更具张力;继而又在女性精神世界的关注问题上与男性作家韩邦庆产生“多元共鸣”,真实的再现了原作“平淡而近自然”的世俗美以及各色风月场上女性恣意的生活姿态。第二个创新点在于挖掘出“女性经验”在女性主义翻译过程的作用,指出感性的女性经验在很大程度上影响了译者的创造性,同时也指导了译者的读者观照。张爱玲辗转吴语,汉语以及西洋文化的“三维女性经验”的空间之中,她大胆创译人名与地名,转译文化暗喻与异质元素以及改译原文形式与结构,其中夹杂着女性特有的敏感与敏锐,从而体现出与众不同的“创造性叛逆”。 本文的意义有三点: 第一,译者主体性与女性主义翻译理论的结合为研究翻译过程,译者行为,译者主体性与创新性提供了崭新的视角。 第二,张爱玲“多元调和”下的女性主义诗学使得译作呈现独特面貌,这可以为中国建设多元的翻译学体系提供“另类”的借鉴素材。 第三,对张爱玲译本的比较研究为中国的文学翻译提供了新的启示,更为研究中西方女性主义翻译理论的差异提供了参考。
[Abstract]:Chinese Taiwan writer Eileen Chang won the "legendary" reputation in twentieth Century Chinese modern literary history. However, the "translator Eileen Chang" rarely appeared in the Chinese role translation history. Compared with the radical feminist translation theories in the west, and Chinese local mild feminist translation ideas, Eileen Chang's feminist translation poetics shows: "look out of the ordinary multi harmonic under the feminist translation poetics". The first innovation of this paper lies in the choice of the original text, "the old man and the sea" and "sea flower". According to the feminist translation theory, translator's subjectivity in practice mainly for translation selection and interventionist translation strategies. Feminist translators' choice of translation is generally divided into two categories: one is the text written by female writers can highlight the female identity; two is written by male writers "misogyny" confrontational text. Feminist translators will be through the selection of the supplement, footnotes, and "hijacking" feminist translation strategies of the text rewriting and interference, so that the female translator's identity was confirmed and revealed. However, we choose the version of Eileen Chang reflects the offbeat text selection tendency, i.e. the male writers are either masculine or feminine, is full of two Novel. The second innovation is to dig out the role of" female experience "in feminist translation process, pointed out that the perceptual experience affects the female translator's creativity to a great extent, but also to guide the readers on the translator. The significance of this paper three:
First, according to the translator's subjectivity and feminist translation theory on translation process, the translator, the translator's subjectivity and creativity to provide a new perspective.
Second, Eileen Chang "feminist poetics under the multiple harmonic" translations show unique features, which can provide reference material for the "offbeat" China construction of multiple translation system.
Third, the Eileen Chang version provides a new inspiration for the comparative study of Chinese literary translation, provides a reference for differences between Western women in translation theory.
