以元语言理论析文学作品中非源语的翻译

【摘要】： 非源语即除了主要的叙述语言外,出现在文中的其他语言。传统的处理方法大多是将这些非源语直接翻译至目的语行文中,但这样做往往会出现逻辑错误,或者,由于文学作品不同于其他文本类型的特殊性,致使原文信息无法完整传达。本文的观点是,在翻译过程中当原文中有非源语介入时不应将其直接译入目的语,而应保持它特殊的形式,因为非源语的形式本身也是一层信息,有其特殊含义,语义可以其他方式补充说明。本文将元语言理论作为理论支持,以元语言和对象语言的关系来看译文和原文的关系,认为翻译可以看作是一个元语言(即目的语)对对象语言(即源语)的谈论、分析、解释的过程。而原文本身的源语与非源语之间也存在元语言与对象语言的关系,即非源语语言为对象语言,源语为元语言。因此,非源语、源语和译文这三者呈现出层层递进的关系。原文中元语言与对象语言的分层要在更高一层的译文中体现出来,非源语就不能跟源语一样地直接译入目的语,而必须保持其原来的形式,以体现它跟源语的层次关系。本文在证明观点后继而相应地提出一些可行的翻译策略并对其进行验证,为翻译实践提供参考。
[Abstract]:In addition to the main narrative language, non-source language appears in the text of other languages. Most of the traditional approaches are to translate these non-source languages directly into the target language, but this often leads to logic errors, or because of the particularity of literary works that are different from other text types. As a result, the original information can not be fully conveyed. The point of view of this paper is that the non-source language should not be directly translated into the target language in the process of translation, but should be kept in its special form, because the form of the non-source language itself is a layer of information and has its special meaning. Semantics can be supplemented in other ways. Based on the meta-linguistic theory and the relation between the target language and the meta-language, the author considers that translation can be regarded as a meta-language (that is, the target language) to discuss and analyze the object language (i.e. the source language). The process of explanation. There is also a relationship between the source language and the non-source language, that is, the non-source language is the object language and the source language is the meta-language. Therefore, the non-source language, the source language and the target language show a progressive relationship. If the level of meta-language and object language in the original text is to be reflected in a higher level of translation, the non-source language cannot be directly translated into the target language as the source language, but must maintain its original form in order to reflect its hierarchical relationship with the source language. After proving the point of view, this paper puts forward some feasible translation strategies and verifies them accordingly, which provides a reference for translation practice.
