意象与意义之争:《荒人手记》中的诗歌翻译困境

【摘要】：《荒人手记》这部小说的英译本获得了美国国家翻译奖,但通过对其小说中引用和创作诗歌翻译的研究,发现有些意象和意义之间的偏离严重。鉴于中国诗歌的创作传统,本文将这些诗歌的翻译偏离分为对借代和用典的误解两类,通过分析还原诗歌的历史语境,澄清其意义内涵,阐述了翻译中意义和意象统一的必要性,指出诗歌翻译中的"误解误译"和"意象再造性翻译"的区别。最后,值得注意的是,汉诗的诠释和标注工作在诗歌海外传播中同样不可或缺。
[Abstract]:The English translation of this novel won the American National Translation Award, but through the study of the translation of poems cited and written in the novel, it is found that some images deviate seriously from the meaning. In view of the tradition of Chinese poetry creation, this paper divides the translation deviations of these poems into two categories: metonymy and metonymy, and clarifies the meaning of poetry by analyzing and restoring the historical context of poetry. This paper expounds the necessity of the unity of meaning and image in translation, and points out the difference between "misunderstanding and mistranslation" and "image remaking translation" in poetry translation. Finally, it is worth noting that the interpretation and annotation of Chinese poetry is also indispensable in the overseas dissemination of poetry.
