功能对等理论下的《不可磨灭》第一至三章英译汉翻译报告

【摘要】：随着我国对外交流日益密切,纹身在年轻人中逐渐流行起来,但它仍是一种饱受争议的小众文化。本次翻译实践所选取的文本是美国自由作家马克·卡佛以纹身为题材创作的讽刺小说《Indelible》(译名《不可磨灭》),讲述了身为奇幻武器设计师的主人公卡梅隆在脸上刺了一个纹身之后,他生活发生的巨大变化。译者希望通过此次翻译实践,使读者了解美国的纹身文化,注重的是原文意义的传递,而形式处于次要的地位,因此运用尤金·奈达的功能对等理论作为翻译实践的理论指导。翻译报告分为五部分,第一部分是项目背景介绍及意义,第二部分是作者和作品的简介,第三部分介绍了译者的译前准备、译中工作和译后审校,第四部分是报告的重点,包括原文的特点分析,根据功能对等理论采取的直译和意译结合的翻译方法,以及一些翻译技巧和例证,最后一部分是对本次翻译项目的总结,包括经验和尚待解决的问题。
[Abstract]:Tattoos are becoming popular among young people as China's foreign exchange grows, but it is still a controversial minority culture. The text chosen for this translation practice is the satirical novel "Indelible," written by American freelance writer Mark Carver on the subject of tattoos. It tells the story of Cameron, the protagonist of a fantasy weapon designer, who has a tattoo on his face. The great changes in his life. Through this translation practice, the translator hopes to make readers understand the American tattoo culture and emphasize the transmission of the meaning of the original text, while the form is in the secondary position. Therefore, Eugene Nida's functional equivalence theory is used as the theoretical guidance of translation practice. The translation report is divided into five parts. The first part is the background of the project and its significance. The second part is a brief introduction of the author and the works. The third part introduces the translator's pre-translation preparation, translation work and post-translation revision. The fourth part is the focus of the report. It includes the analysis of the features of the original text, the combination of literal translation and free translation based on functional equivalence theory, as well as some translation techniques and examples. The last part is a summary of this translation project, including experience and problems to be solved.
