口传文学《四川民间故事》（节选）汉译英翻译实践报告

　　本文是一篇以口传文学《四川民间故事》为研究对象的汉译英翻译实践报告。《四川民间故事》是收录在《四川省志·民俗志》口传文学篇章中的故事节选。口传文学将四川地区历史文化与口头文学结合起来,编讲故事。这些故事表现了明显的四川特色,趣味性高,文化内涵丰富。本文将口传文学作为案例分析的原因有以下几点:口头文学文本化的翻译是翻译研究的一个子领域,并没发现太多相关研究,值得深入探讨;作为流传于四川地区的口传文学,《四川民间故事》具有丰富的四川文化特性,文化价值高;四川方言在《四川民间故事》里的运用凸显了方言魅力,趣味性强。《四川民间故事》经历了从口头到笔头的文本化（Textualization）过程,这有利于文学作品的保存以及后续研究,却也给本文的翻译工作带来了挑战。其一,方言作为口头语言被文本化后,口头与书面界限模糊;其二,非口头语言,特别是声调在文本化过程中遗失,削减了故事的生动性与趣味性;其三,故事流畅性与注释之间产生冲突。结合文本化过程带来的翻译挑战,笔者认为莫里斯提出的意义理论对该文本的翻译具有指导意义。莫里斯提出了意义理论,即指示意义,言内意义,语用意义。此三种意义对英译《四川民间故事》...
