索因卡与贝克特的荒诞戏剧对比研究 ————以《路》和《等待戈多》为例

在世界剧坛上,沃尔·索因卡和塞缪尔·贝克特都占据着不可动摇的地位。前者是当代尼日利亚最负盛名的剧作家,并于1986年获得诺贝尔文学奖。后者是20世纪英美文学最具影响的小说和戏剧家之一,于1969年获得诺贝尔文学奖。作为在戏剧创作方面造诣颇深的剧作家,两人在各自代表作《路》和《等待戈多》的创作中存在不少异同。作为一名经受过西方文明洗礼的非洲剧作家,索因卡的创作深受西方文明的影响,其代表作《路》中不乏西方荒诞剧式的对白与独白,晦涩难懂;戏剧情节和场景奇图怪诞。被称为荒诞派戏剧奠基人之一的贝克特,其代表作《等待戈多》也处处充斥着荒诞剧的元素,他排斥戏剧情节和结构,偏好稀奇古怪的舞台形象和颠三倒四的戏剧语言。以此来看,索因卡的《路》和贝克特的《等待戈多》一样,都属于折射出“荒诞剧”的影子。但对两部名作的进一步分析证明,索因卡在《路》中的创作哲学基础以及创作手法与《等待戈多》其实存在着很大的差异。此前,不少研究者曾分别对索因卡和贝克特的作品进行了多方面、深入的研究,也取得了相当丰富的研究成果。但是却鲜少有人选取二者的荒诞戏剧进行对比研究。因此,将索因卡的《路》和贝克特的《等待戈多》进行对比分析,...
