目的论视角下《艾薇·艾伯丁写给世界的信》(第1-7章)英汉翻译实践报告

《艾薇·艾伯丁写给世界的信》是阿什利亨利·布莱克的一部少儿文学作品,因其很好地捕捉了十几岁女孩所面临的情感失落和困惑而颇受欢迎。本研究报告基于对小说前七章的翻译实践。本研究以目的论为理论指导,认为儿童文学的翻译首先应该传达信息文本,讲述故事,满足目标儿童读者的认知能力。研究分三个层次进行。词汇层面,着重讨论了增译法和转换法,以说明对可读和易于理解的翻译文本而言,必要而灵活的变化是不可或缺的;句法层面,定语从句素来难以翻译,译者采用前置和融合的办法,重新组织句子结构,使其融入汉语表达体系;就风格而言,为了吸引儿童读者并符合儿童文学的特点,翻译中使用了大量的比喻句和拟声词。本文进一步说明了目的论理论在儿童文学翻译中的适用性,译者提出的具体翻译方法也可能对未来更多的译者提供参考。
