博弈论视角下理雅各与许渊冲的《诗经》翻译研究

　　博弈论是整个社会科学中极为重要的一门理论学科,它利用数学工具对种种社会现象进行深入的规范分析,获得了丰硕的研究成果,是一种重要分析方法,可以应用于经济学、社会学、政治学等许多学科。二十世纪初一些学者开始借用博弈论来进行翻译研究。《诗经》作为中国古代第一部经典诗集,是中国文学的摇篮和灿烂的明珠,对先秦以前的其他文学形式有深远和持久的影响。因此,将其翻译成英语对传播中华文化、提升中国在世界上的软实力有重要意义。本论文基于理雅各和许渊冲两位译者的《诗经》译本,以叠词和名词为例从博弈论的视角研究了《诗经》的翻译。通过从博弈理论的三个模型—囚徒困境、纳什均衡和帕累托最优对两个版本的叠词和名词的翻译所采用的翻译策略进行了分析。发现当叠词和名词所含的文化因素较少时,采用异化的策略是一个更好的选择,既能传播中国文化,同时译入语读者也能感受到来自中国的异域文化。当叠词和名词中所含的文化因素较多时,采用归化的翻译策略是一个相对明智的选择。
