【摘要】：小说《毕斯沃斯先生的房子》是维·苏·奈保尔的代表作之一。这部使得作者享誉世界的小说讲述了毕斯沃斯先生悲惨的一生。主人公为了拥有一座属于自己的房子耗尽毕生心血，结果徒劳。奈保尔在悲剧中掺杂了许多喜剧因素，赋予了小说悲喜剧的特点。反讽在这一过程中起到了重要作用。本论文对小说《毕斯沃斯先生的房子》中出现的各种反讽进行分析，，凸显反讽在小说人物刻画、悲喜剧气氛营造和主题表现中所起到的重要作用。这部小说运用了三大类型的反讽：言语反讽、戏剧反讽和情景反讽。通过运用言语反讽，奈保尔成功地刻画了移民扭曲的心态和整个特立尼达殖民地人与人之间的疏离。戏剧反讽在营造悲喜剧气氛中起到了重要的作用。结局反讽（命运的嘲弄）是一种特殊的情景反讽。这种反讽深化了主题，展现了小说中分别以图尔西家族和毕斯沃斯先生为代表的两代移民的悲剧。
[Abstract]:The novel "Mr. Bisworth's House" is one of the masterpieces of Wei Sue Naipaul. The novel, which has made the author famous all over the world, tells the story of Mr. Bisworth's miserable life. The hero spent his life in vain in order to own a house of his own. Naipaul mixed many comedy elements in the tragedy and endowed the novel with the characteristics of tragicomedy. Irony plays an important role in this process. This paper analyzes all kinds of irony in the novel "Mr. Bisworth's House", which highlights the important role that irony plays in the portrayal of characters, the creation of tragicomedy atmosphere and the theme expression. The novel uses three major types of irony: verbal irony, dramatic irony and situational irony. Through the use of verbal irony, Naipaul succeeded in portraying the distorted mentality of immigrants and the alienation of the entire Trinidad colony. Dramatic irony plays an important role in creating a tragicomedy atmosphere. The irony of the ending (the mockery of fate) is a special situational irony. This irony deepens the theme and reveals the tragedies of the two generations of immigrants, represented by the Tulsi family and Mr. Bisworth, respectively.
