论乔伊斯的《都柏林人》的现代主义特征

【摘要】：詹姆斯乔伊斯是20世纪最伟大的现代主义作家，《都柏林人》是其最成功的作品之一。其由15个短篇组成，每个短篇既可自成一体，又可与其他故事按照时间顺序划分成童年，青年，壮年和社会生活四个部分。小说描绘了19世纪末，，20世纪初，受宗教和政治双重压迫而生活在道德瘫痪环境下的都柏林各层人民的生活。作者着重于人物心理的刻画和捕捉，如同为整个都柏林人描绘了一部精神的发展史。为了实现对现代社会中人物心理的准确把握，反映出人物心理的瞬息万变与社会现实的纷乱复杂，作者运用了多种现代主义的创新技巧。其中之一就是顿悟，即人物突然醍醐灌顶，理解现实。作品中出现了大量的象征。同时作者运用了叙述视角转换和淡化了故事情节的技巧，总之一切都是为了突出现代人物心理。本论文从主题和写作技巧方面入手分析了《都柏林人》中的现代主义特征，主要揭示了人物瘫痪，孤独和死亡的精神，以及运用的象征，叙述角度的转换，淡化情节等技巧。
[Abstract]:James Joyce is the greatest modernist writer of the 20 th century and Dublin Man is one of his most successful works. It consists of 15 short stories, each of which can be divided into four parts: childhood, youth, maturity and social life. The novel depicts the lives of Dublin people from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century, living under the double oppression of religion and politics in the environment of moral paralysis. The author focuses on the portrayal and capture of the psychology of the characters, as if to depict a history of spiritual development for the whole Dublin people. In order to accurately grasp the characters' psychology in the modern society and reflect the rapid changes of the characters' psychology and the complexity of the social reality, the author has applied a variety of innovative techniques of modernism. One of them is an epiphany, when the characters are suddenly clairvoyant and understand reality. There are a lot of symbols in the works. At the same time, the author uses narrative angle of view to change and dilute the skill of story plot, in short, all is to highlight the modern character psychology. This paper analyzes the modernism characteristics of the Dubliners from the aspects of theme and writing skills, mainly reveals the spirit of paralysis, loneliness and death, as well as the techniques of symbolism, narrative angle conversion, desalination of plot and so on.
