狂欢化理论视野下《在路上》研究

【摘要】:杰克·凯鲁亚克的代表作,“垮掉派的圣经”《在路上》记录了垮掉一代的不羁生活。他们狂欢式的生活表态下隐藏的其实是“垮掉一代”对二战后压抑的社会的反抗以及对极度精神自由的追寻。而俄罗斯批评家米哈伊尔·巴赫金通过对中世纪狂欢节的深入研究,总结出以“狂欢”为核心的理论思想,认为狂欢体现的是平民的智慧,它对立于甚至颠覆一切形式的权威。本论文以巴赫金的狂欢化理论解读凯鲁亚克的代表作《在路上》,揭示蕴涵在作品中深刻的狂欢化精神,分析该小说如何从外在特点到内在本质方面体现狂欢化精神。 文章第一章讨论本论文所采用的理论——巴赫金狂欢化理论,特别是与文本分析相关的概念和方法;从总体上指出垮掉一代的狂欢化精神实质和《在路上》的狂欢化特征之间的本质性关系。 第二章着重从狂欢人物及其行为、狂欢仪式以及狂欢化写作风格等方面分析该小说的狂欢化特征。狂欢人物方面主要分析《在路上》中迪安·莫里亚蒂。迪安在作品中兼具天使与魔鬼的特质,同时迪安与玛丽卢组成一对相近相似的“成对形象”,两人可视为一对“狂欢之王”与“狂欢之后”。狂欢仪式方面主要分析对狂欢国王迪安的加脱冕。本章最后分析《在路上》的狂欢化写作风格,表明其独具特色的即兴式写作在本质上垮掉派的狂欢精神的语言表达。 第三章主要分析《在路上》中充溢的狂欢化的颠覆精神。《在路上》描写的是一群疯疯癫癫的青年男女的冒险经历。他们疯狂地飙车、醉酒、吸毒、做爱、泡妞,企图在浪迹天涯的疯狂中寻找生活的意义。正是凭借疯狂的生活方式他们实现了对美国传统生活及其意识形态的颠覆。 基于上述研究分析,本文得出结论:《在路上》是一部狂欢化小说;“垮掉一代”的狂欢化精神表达了他们对自由的高尚追求,以及建造一个更好的世界的美好愿望。
[Abstract]:Jack Kerouac's masterpiece, the Breakdown Bible on the Road, records the unruly life of the defeated generation. Their carnival life means that the "beat generation" revolts against the post-World War II repressive society and seeks extreme spiritual freedom. Mikhail Bakhtin, a Russian critic, sums up the "carnival" as the core of the theory through the in-depth study of the medieval carnival, and thinks that the carnival embodies the wisdom of the common people, which is opposed to or even subverts all forms of authority. Based on Bakhtin's carnival theory, this thesis interprets Kerouak's masterpiece on the Road, reveals the profound carnival spirit contained in the works, and analyzes how the novel embodies the carnival spirit from the external characteristics to the intrinsic essence. The first chapter discusses the theory of Bakhtin carnival, especially the concepts and methods related to text analysis. On the whole, it points out the essential relationship between the spirit essence of carnival and the characteristic of carnival on the road. The second chapter analyzes the carnival characteristics of the novel from the carnival characters and their behavior, carnival ceremony and carnival writing style. The main analysis of carnival characters in "on the Road" Dean Moriarty. Dean has the characteristics of angel and devil in his works. Meanwhile, Dean and Marilou form a pair of similar "images". They can be regarded as "the king of carnival" and "after the carnival". The carnival ceremony mainly analyzes the coronation of Carnival King Dean. At the end of this chapter, the author analyzes the carnival writing style of "on the Road", and shows that its unique improvisational writing is essentially the language expression of the carnival spirit of the Breakdown School. Chapter three mainly analyzes the overflowing revelry subversive spirit in "on the Road", which describes the adventures of a group of crazy young men and women. They race wildly, get drunk, take drugs, have sex, pick up girls, and try to find meaning in the madness of the world. It was the crazy way of life that they subverted American traditional life and its ideology. Based on the above research and analysis, this paper concludes that "on the Road" is a carnival novel, and that the carnival spirit of "the beat Generation" expresses their noble pursuit of freedom and their good desire to build a better world.
