[Abstract]:Since the 20th century, literary studies have gradually moved towards cultural studies. "identity", as an important theme in the field of cultural studies, not only refers to the differences between individuals, but also emphasizes the identity of groups. The rapid development of the capitalist economy and the accelerating process of globalization have not only strengthened the experience of individual and ethnic drift, but also increased their sense of alienation and alienation. How individuals and ethnic groups seek identity in this process has become a question worthy of discussion. This paper studies the works of three black writers, "Native son", "Invisible Man" and "Song of Solomon". This paper attempts to probe into the attempt and exploration of African-Americans who bear the life of slaves and face great cultural resistance to construct their own identity in American society. These three works present the process of self-identification of blacks in various periods, from wanting to be American to being identified as "people." Berger in Native Children as the lowest black living. Deep fear of the high-flying white world, fear and self-denial, led Bug to think he was a born bad black man and deserved inhuman treatment everywhere, even though he had demonstrated that the violence he had existed was too extreme. But he just wants to be recognized as a native American; The unknown hero in Invisible has always camouflaged himself to cater to the needs of whites, but the white world continues to turn a blind eye to him, despite the fact that he lives on the promise of a white man's given identity. As a result, he also lost consciousness, and after he accidentally fell into the hole, he realized, burned down the white man's given identity certificate, and regained his self-consciousness. The Milk Baby in Song of Solomon was born in the middle class. The superior material life helped him develop a set of white values. In the process of seeking the family treasure, he accepted the baptism of the black culture, gradually abandoned the white values and realized the spiritual rebirth. The situation of African-Americans in American society is more complex than that of other minorities, and how they can achieve their identity requires the joint efforts of both black and white camps. White people's rejection of racist ideas and commitment to democracy are the external driving force to solve this problem, while the black side needs to complete the reconstruction of its own politics, economy, culture and soul, and fundamentally realize its own identity.
