论品钦《拍卖第49批》中的不确定性

　　二十世纪六七十年代,受结构主义与现象学的影响,罗伯特·尧斯与沃尔夫冈·伊瑟尔创立了接受美学,认为文学文本存在着空白与不确定性。伊瑟尔认为在建构文学文本的过程当中,读者的作用不可忽视,文学文本中存在“空白”与“不确定性”,尤其是20世纪的文学文本。接受美学认为,文学文本中的构成要素有作者与读者。文学创作应有一定的美学追求,即自觉地创造更多的“空白”与“不确定性”。接受美学作为一种较新的批评理论,适合读者在阅读中再创作的要求,即发挥其在文学创作中的积极性。《拍卖第49批》作为品钦的一部举足轻重的小说无疑是这一思想的典型,在适度范围内创造了空白与不确定性,创造了偏离效应,能够打破读者原有的视野。这样,读者的文学经验就会增加,期待视野也会拓宽,审美能力也会随之增强,欣赏水平进而提高。本文应用接受美学的理论方法来研究这部小说中的不确定性。小说留给读者的是空白与不确定性,要求读者发挥自己的想象去填充,这样才能深入了解这部小说的深层含义和所具有的独特的文学价值。本文从三个方面探索《拍卖第49批》中的不确定性,即:情景设置、情节、象征等。论文引文部分简单介绍了托马斯·品钦与他的小说,并简述接受美学的主...
