法律英语文本中语法隐喻理解的加工过程

【摘要】：韩礼德于1985年首次提出语法隐喻概念。他认为隐喻不仅存在于词汇层，而且常出现在语法层，这种出现在语法层的隐喻便是语法隐喻。自语法隐喻概念被提出后，国内外许多学者对此做了许多进一步的研究，如它的分类、机制。此外，一学者研究了科技语篇中的语法隐喻现象。有少数学者探讨了语法隐喻与语篇难度的关系，认为语篇中语法隐喻越多，语篇会越难理解。然而，这少数的研究主要集中于普通英语语篇。很少有学者探讨法律英语语篇中的语法隐喻现象。众所周知，由于法律英语的语言特征，在法律英语语篇中存在着大量的语法隐喻。换句话说，语法隐喻是法律语篇的重要特征之一。鉴于此，，很有必要探讨法律语篇中存在的语法隐喻及怎样理解其表达的意义。本文首先以系统功能语言学中的语法隐喻理论为理论基础，首先讨论了导致语法隐喻复杂性的因素，即双重语义特征、词汇密度及理解语法隐喻需要的认知努力。在此基础上，探讨了如何从词汇-语法层和语义层两个角度来识别概念语法隐喻和人际语法隐喻，并着重分析和探讨了概念语法隐喻和人际语法隐喻在法律文本中的语义加工过程，即把隐喻式表达转换成其对应的一致式表达。本研究有助于学习者提高其法律语篇理解能力，同时，对法律英语教学中也有一些有益的启示。

In other words, grammatical metaphor is an important feature of legal discourse syndrome First, it is necessary to explore the grammatical metaphor in the legal discourse and how to understand the meaning of its expression.
This paper begins with the theory of grammatical metaphor in systemic functional linguistics as the theoretical basis, first discussed the factors that lead to the complexity of grammatical metaphor, namely double semantic features, the lexical density and understand grammatical metaphor to cognitive efforts. On this basis, discuss the lexical grammatical and semantic level two aspects to identify the concept of grammatical metaphor and interpersonal grammatical metaphor, and emphatically analyzes and discusses the semantic processing process of ideational metaphor and interpersonal metaphor in legal texts, namely the metaphorical expression into the corresponding expression type.
This study helps learners to improve their understanding of legal discourse, and also has some useful implications for the teaching of legal English.
