【摘要】：近年来，在国际上盛行着一种新的投资方式——外汇保证金交易，其双向交易，24小时不间断操作等优点深受广大投资者喜爱，在西方发达国家已经是一种非常成熟的投资方式。我国在20世纪90年代也曾开放过外汇保证金交易，但是由于缺乏经验以及监管的不完善，平台的不稳定，还有对外汇保证金交易的理解不够深刻，导致大量投资者亏损，于是外汇保证金业务被银监会四部委联合叫停。对待外汇保证金的态度究竟应该如何，我国发展外汇保证金交易有哪些得天独厚的优势，以及如何处理过去我国发展外汇保证金交易业务中遇到的问题都是外汇保证金能否在中国开展所必须要面临的难题。要解决这些问题，，就必须对外汇保证金交易的历史及现实进行客观的分析，通过了解外汇保证金交易的特点，在我国发展的可能性的分析，明确中国今后发展外汇保证金交易的方向。本文通过对外汇保证金交易发展历程的研究，分析了我国过去开展外汇保证金交易存在的一系列问题，以及对我国外汇储备，可供居民使用的资金情况的分析，阐明了我国外汇保证金交易发展的可能性，同时我国外汇保证金交易在过去的发展过程中，也存在监管缺失，技术低下，平台报价延迟等问题，因而下一步如何规范以及根治这些问题就成为了关键。中国要想开展外汇保证金交易业务，就必须建立相关的监管部门，完善相应的金融衍生品法律法规，加强对投资者素质的培养。中国开展外汇保证金交易是与世界接轨的必然，因而在发展过程中，应该逐步趋利避害，尽可能地为广大投资者服务。
