《物流与供应链管理》翻译实践报告

【摘要】：随着世界一体化和经济全球化的不断深入,各国各地区之间的沟通与交流日益频繁。物流业作为现代服务经济的重要支柱和组成部分,近年来发展迅速,呈现出国际化、专业化的特点。随着物流业的迅速发展和全球化进程,物流英语及其翻译的重要性也日益凸显出来。为了提高国际物流业务水平,从业人员有必要掌握物流英语专业知识。同时,随着国家对复合型人才的需求不断上升,相关翻译人员也有必要加强自己的专业知识和翻译能力。物流英语翻译在进行国际交流和从事各种物流业务活动中变得日益重要,发挥着不可替代的作用。物流英语属于专门用途英语的范畴,除了英语语言本身的特点之外,还具有物流行业专门的语体特征。物流英语,作为商务英语的一部分,是一种包含各种物流活动内容、满足物流业务需要的标准英文,是英语的一种社会功能变体。对于物流从业人员来说,熟悉物流英语相关专业知识,掌握物流英语语言特点,遵循准确严谨、规范统一的翻译原则,是应当具备的必要素质。翻译目的论认为翻译过程的最主要因素是整体翻译行为的目的,即结果决定方法。这就要求译者根据特定的翻译目的选择特定的翻译方法或策略。目的论更注重译文能否为目标读者所接受和理解,能否实现翻译的预期目的。也就是说,目的论强调的是翻译作为一种跨文化交际行为的最终目的和效果的实现。针对物流英语文本这样一种专业性强的特殊文本,翻译目的论对其翻译具有重要的指导意义。本论文采用翻译实践报告的形式,以理论与实践相结合。笔者选取的翻译材料为《物流与供应链管理》(第4版,2011),该书由英国马丁 ·克里斯托弗教授编著,是物流与供应链管理系列经典的教材。本文概述了此次翻译任务的背景、目的和意义,说明了翻译的译前准备、翻译过程和译后审校,介绍了翻译目的论的起源与发展、基本原则、翻译标准以及翻译目的论在物流英语文本翻译中的应用。在翻译目的论的指导下,本文简述和分析了物流英语文本在词汇、句法和篇章层面的特点,进而选取了物流英语文本常用的四种翻译技巧,即增译、省译、转换和分译,并结合具体的实例进行分析。这些技巧的使用体现了物流英语客观、严谨、准确、专业的特点。最后对此次翻译实践进行整体回顾和重新认识。笔者希望通过此次翻译实践,为今后物流英语文本的翻译提供一定的指导和借鉴作用。
[Abstract]:With the deepening of world integration and economic globalization, communication and exchanges between countries and regions are becoming more and more frequent. Logistics industry, as an important pillar and component of modern service economy, has developed rapidly in recent years, showing the characteristics of internationalization and specialization. With the rapid development of logistics and globalization, the importance of logistics English and its translation has become increasingly prominent. In order to improve the level of international logistics business, it is necessary for practitioners to master the professional knowledge of logistics English. At the same time, it is necessary for translators to strengthen their professional knowledge and translation ability with the increasing demand for compound talents in the country. Logistics English translation has become more and more important in international communication and various logistics activities, and plays an irreplaceable role. Logistics English belongs to the category of special purpose English. In addition to the characteristics of English language itself, it also has the special stylistic characteristics of logistics industry. Logistics English, as a part of Business English, is a kind of standard English which contains all kinds of logistics activities and meets the needs of logistics business. It is a social functional variant of English. For logistics practitioners, it is necessary to be familiar with logistics English-related professional knowledge, to master the characteristics of logistics English language, to follow accurate, rigorous and standardized translation principles. Skopos theory holds that the most important factor in the process of translation is the purpose of the whole translation behavior, that is, the method of determining the result. This requires the translator to choose a specific translation method or strategy according to the specific purpose of translation. Skopos theory pays more attention to whether the translation can be accepted and understood by the target readers and whether the intended purpose of translation can be achieved. In other words, Skopos Theory emphasizes the realization of the ultimate purpose and effect of translation as a cross-cultural communicative act. The Skopos Theory is of great significance to the translation of logistics English text, which is a specialized and special text. This thesis takes the form of translation practice report and combines theory with practice. The translation material selected by the author is Logistics and supply chain Management (4th edition, 2011), edited by Professor Martin Christopher of the United Kingdom, and is a classic textbook in the series of logistics and supply chain management. This paper summarizes the background, purpose and significance of the translation task, explains the pre-translation preparation, translation process and post-translation revision, and introduces the origin and development of Skopos Theory, and the basic principles of translation Skopos Theory. Translation criteria and Skopos Theory in Logistics English text Translation. Under the guidance of Skopos Theory, this paper briefly describes and analyzes the characteristics of logistics English texts at the lexical, syntactic and textual levels, and then selects four translation techniques commonly used in logistics English texts, namely, augmentation, savings, transformation and translation. And combine the concrete example to carry on the analysis. The use of these techniques reflects the objective, rigorous, accurate and professional characteristics of logistics English. Finally, the author reviews and reunderstands the translation practice as a whole. Through this translation practice, the author hopes to provide some guidance and reference for the translation of logistics English texts in the future.
