【摘要】：西汉今古文学之争的性质问题历来众说纷纭,学者或视之为学术义理之争或视之为利禄之争。细读史料发现这桩学术公案背后有着错综复杂的学术与政治背景。刘歆的初衷是为了解决六艺经典散佚缺失导致"道术"分裂的问题,但却卷入了汉哀帝与博士官学系统出身的儒学士大夫集团之间的政治斗争。儒学士大夫集团欲借助垄断经典的解释权,牢牢占据道德制高点,对汉哀帝的一系列政治举措和意图进行批判和限制,哀帝则欲借增立"古文"于学官之机建立符合自身利益的新"官学",从而打破博士官学系统对"真理"的垄断。又,学界历来以刘歆建议增立"古文"学于学官为"古文"学派崛起之始,文章认为争立"古文"学于学官早有先声,始于汉成帝时期博士平当为由先秦史料汇聚而成的《乐记》请立学官之事。
