读经问题及中小学读经现象研究

【摘要】: 语文在构筑学生的精神世界、提升学生的人文素质方面担负着至关重要的作用。传统文化的内涵往往潜藏于语文教材中,文言和诗歌作品是中国古代精英文化的结晶,为时人精神物化的产品,具有极为丰厚的精神内涵。 上世纪末开始中华大地掀起了一股轰轰烈烈的读经热潮,中国青基会与文化委员会组织专家学者编辑了《中华古诗文读本》启动了“中华古诗文诵读工程”。人称为“当代大儒”的蒋庆兴建“阳明精舍”,编撰了一套12册的《中华文化经典基础教育诵本》,读经活动轰轰烈烈的开展起来。热潮兴起之时,论争也随之而来。有人认为时代进步,读经的意义已不大。经书中的古老内容无益于培育现代公民。还有人认为背诵的方式无益于创造思维,读经这种教育方式就是彻底的“蒙昧主义”。这些针锋相对的论争都缘于对文化和教育的思索,值得我们从历史和现实的各个角度去细细研究思考。 中国语文一直重视古文经典的教学,虽颇多曲折,却是薪火相传,一脉相承。古代教育中,读经是教育主流。无论在哪一个历史时期,人们都十分注重对前代文化的学习和继承。近代教育,新思潮涌现,读经引来了诸多批评。20世纪初,清政府实行“新政”,西方教育制度开始传入中国,反对读经一时成为潮流。1949年中华人民共和国成立后,加大了文化教育的力度。但在十年“文革”期间,整个教育遭到了严重破坏,古典教育更是少人问津。80年代以后,随着中国教育的“春风吹又生”,古典教育才又成为各级各类学校语文教育的重要内容。 近年来“读经潮”兴起,这并非单纯复古式的偶然而是有其深层的精神原因。文化是一个民族的脊梁,要延续中国文脉,恢复近代以来丧失的中华文化的高度自信,提高民族文化素质,都需要重振国学,激活中国人学术创造力。中国近十年来的人文危机表现在它的大大小小的一些道义的危机、公正的危机以及合法性的丧失。事实证明,经典文化虽然开掘不出现代化因素,但它可以参与到现代化之中,为道德教化和化解现代社会的心灵危机提供一个重要的精神资源。随着全球化时代的到来,我们的民族文化受到了“西化”的严峻挑战,在与强势文化的争夺中,放弃自身固有的传统文化就意味着全盘西化,就意味着放弃自己的优势。从这个意义上来讲,振兴国学,也是实现中华民族伟大复兴的需要。对中小学生而言,中小学课程导向对读经活动的推动有着重大意义。在中小学语文教育中,古代诗文教学也越来越占有重要的地位。依据新大纲的基本精神,中小学也相应加大了文学教育的分量。 近年来,“读经”活动在中小学生中如火如荼的开展起来,但在这股热潮中我们也需要冷静的看待其中出现的问题。首先是读经的内容应如何选择吸收,目前选编的少儿读经
