[Abstract]:Zheng Shen Jianshi (1886 / 1947), a famous modern linguist and author of Guangyun Sound Department and Duan Yanzhai essay, has achieved a great success in the field of Chinese language and characters, but his story of protecting and arranging the archives of Ming and Qing dynasties is seldom known. When he presided over the Institute of Chinese Studies at Peking University, he saved his life.
