“译释论”视角下的典籍英译研究 ——以《诗经·国风》英译本为例

  在当今文化全球化的背景下,翻译中国典籍能够在弘扬民族文化促进文化融合的同时保持中国固有的文化身份,这具有重要的意义。本文结合《诗经》英译的实例研究韦努蒂“译释论”作为评价典籍翻译的理论价值。译释论运用语言学、语义学和语文学中的概念将典籍翻译的全过程划分为原文本、作为元语言的译文本和作为价值论的译文本三个层面,其中带有价值论的翻译这一层面区别了典籍翻译与一般翻译,是最为重要的。在译释论中,韦努蒂将能指与所指这对概念作为典籍翻译三个层面的共同概念,同时,他提出了“译释语”的概念,并将其定义为连接典籍翻译三层面的一定社会体制。因此,我们能够在译释论基础上从语言学视角研究典籍翻译,并以译释论的典籍翻译三个层面指导典籍翻译过程的评价研究。本文首先介绍了国内外有关典籍翻译的理论研究成果,随后阐述了译释论的理论框架结构及基组成概念作为研究的理论基础。为研究译释论的评价作用,我们选取了国内外《诗经·国风》的四种英译本作为评价对象,并从典籍翻译的三个层面研究了同一原文本的不同注释及翻译。能指与所指在译本的评价过程中被作为主要标尺,较好的译本能更佳地传递原文本的所指并不断积聚经典价值。因此,本文在译文本层...
