利率市场化对商业银行盈利能力的影响——基于利率风险暴露视角的实证分析

【摘要】：从利率风险暴露这一新的视角,揭示利率市场化影响商业银行盈利能力的作用机制,并利用我国16家上市银行2004-2015年的非平衡面板数据,实证分析利率市场化对我国商业银行利率风险暴露和盈利能力的影响。结果表明:随着利率市场化改革的深化,商业银行的利率风险暴露稳中趋降,不同商业银行利率风险暴露的异质性显著增大;在相同的利率波动冲击下,利率风险暴露较大的商业银行盈利能力下降更快,且这种效应对非国有银行的影响尤为突出。进一步研究发现,收入多元化程度较高的商业银行能够更好地抵御利率波动的影响,但风险对冲工具对商业银行抵御利率波动的作用有限。
[Abstract]:From the perspective of exposure of interest rate risk, this paper reveals the mechanism of interest rate marketization affecting commercial banks' profitability, and uses the non-equilibrium panel data of 16 listed banks in China from 2004 to 2015. This paper empirically analyzes the influence of interest rate marketization on the exposure of interest rate risk and profitability of Chinese commercial banks. The results show that with the deepening of interest rate marketization reform, the interest rate risk exposure of commercial banks tends to decrease steadily, and the heterogeneity of interest rate risk exposure of different commercial banks increases significantly. Under the same interest rate fluctuation impact, the profitability of commercial banks exposed to higher interest rate risk decreases more quickly, and this effect is especially prominent to non-state-owned banks. Further research shows that commercial banks with higher income diversification can better resist the impact of interest rate fluctuations, but risk hedging tools have limited effect on commercial banks to resist interest rate fluctuations.
